Home About

I’m a wife and new mother to two adorable kiddos!  I am a former teacher turned stay at home mom who loves being creative.  My Christian faith and my sweet family are most important to me.

A Happy Little Home is a blog about family fun, being creative, and living life to the fullest.  I write about bringing fun and creativity into your happy little home!

I love to be creative, so you’ll see a variety of DIYs and craft tutorials on this blog.  When I see something I like, I try to think of a way to make it myself.  Handmade things have an extra special touch!

I like making decorations, things to wear, and things for our home.  And making keepsakes with my daughter (like handprint projects) is so much fun!

You can see all my posts in this category here, and here are some of my favorites:

These ombre painted feathers are so beautiful and unique! These would be a creative substitute for a gift bow on top of a package. DIY painted feathers would also make interesting bookmarks or a pretty display in a little vase. This is such a unique project - I can't wait to make these! If you need some bookmarks for your books or journals, this quick craft project will be perfect! These DIY paper clip ribbon bookmarks add an adorable accent while marking your page. Pictures of each step will walk you though how to make paper clip ribbon bookmarks. These are just adorable!!

If you are looking for a fun decoration to make, try a diy pom pom garland! This post shows you how to make a pom pom garland, with pictures included for each step. I can't wait to make my space prettier with some pom pom project cheer! If you are looking to make an adorable keepsake with handprints and footprints this would be perfect! This DIY Ombre Love Handprint Canvas is so pretty with the ombre background and the beautiful little handprints and footprints from your child. This would make such a cute gift for mother's day, father's day, and grandparents, too!

I enjoy making adorable toys and gifts for my daughter. I also like to get my my sweet girl crafting whenever possible, with fun age-appropriate kids crafts.

These adorable diy finger puppets will be perfect for puppet shows on the go! This post takes you through each step in this felt project, showing how to make forest animal finger puppets. The rabbit finger puppet is super cute, but I think the little owl puppet is my favorite!  I love this adorable DIY cardboard playhouse! This playhouse is so fun to make and looks super cute! What a perfect way to reuse and upcycle a large cardboard box. I can't wait to make for my little one!

Looking for an awesome DIY project for family fun? This post shows how to make an indoor snowball fight kit and includes free printable tags. An indoor snowball fight kit would be an incredibly fun DIY gift for kids, and the perfect idea for family fun night! I can't wait to make one! This no mess painting method could work for babies or toddlers to create a colorful, marbled piece of artwork to display. It would make such a cute grandparent gift, too. I love this idea - it reminds me a little of other mess-free painting methods I've seen, but this one creates a canvas painting to display. I want to try this!!
